Whether you loved or hated Netflix original series Sex/Life, I’m sure that we can all agree that there was something so satisfying about learning that leading stars Adam Demos and Sarah Shahi were an IRL couple. Surprisingly, they hadn’t made their red carpet debut together until now.

At the 2021 People’s Choice Awards in Santa Monica today, Demos and Shahi stepped onto the emerald carpet arm-in-arm. The actress wore a smoky silver gown with chain link straps and black sky-high pumps. The Australian export wore a brown patterned double-breasted suit layered over the top of a navy knit.

The couple first met on the set of Sex/Life and went public with their romance in December 2020. Shahi’s reaction to meeting Demos is hilarious (we’d probably be the same).

“I said, ‘Well, that’s a tall drink of water,'” Shahi told People in June. “When I first met Adam, I was really blown away with him. We met in the makeup trailer and we just got on instantly. We had the exact same taste in music. We had the same taste in whiskey and tequilas, and I was really blown away by him just as a person and all I knew was that I wanted more.”

In August the loved up duo took to the official Sex/Life Instagram account where they watched and reacted to one of their sex scenes for the eight-part series, in real time.

“You did a good job Adam Demos,” Shahi said in the video. Demos was quick to add a cheeky quip, “It was a pleasure.”

For fans of Shahi and Demos, the series is rumoured to be renewed for a second season. Sex/Life is nominated for The Bingeworthy Show Of 2021 at the People’s Choice Award tonight.
