Health and wellness expert Renee Douros, who runs an urban wellness retreat in Canberra called Adytum suggests prepping the skin diligently ahead of sun exposure. “This includes ensuring your face is freshly cleansed and ready for application,” Douros says.
“I like to apply my sunscreen liberally, with a makeup brush. This method allows me to ensure every part of my face, neck and décolletage is protected. After being exposed to the sun, never forget to wash the sunscreen off and be sure to use formulas that are designed to soothe and hydrate the skin. Avoid any form of exfoliation for at least 24 hours.”
