Happy Solstice! As the week kicks off with one of the astrological calendar’s biggest resets, now is the time to take a moment to reflect.
The sky has not been easy or smooth in December, but this Monday marks a turning point. As we come “back to earth” so to speak (thank Capricorn season), all the things that felt overwhelming, uncertain or unmanageable in the past week (or three) should feel a little more manageable.
Midweek, we get a little speed bump, and by Friday, you’ll be good for nothing but rest… but that’s ok! You’ve earned it. Tune out, switch off and let yourself recover. You made it.
Horoscopes for the week of December 22-28, 2025:
ARIES AND ARIES RISING
This week could feel a little like your operating system is back on deck as the Solstice kicks off a taking-care-of-business kind of vibe. With Capricorn season illuminating your professional path and both Mars and Venus (from 24 December) following suit, thinking long-term about what you want and how you’re going to achieve it will be top of your list.
The outlook is comparatively calm compared to the start of the month, making plenty of space to think about the bigger picture— perfect for this time of year.
TAURUS AND TAURUS RISING
With the haze of December’s peak Neptune weather starting to ease, the mood feels more grounded and productive than it has in months. Uncertainty and confusion should give way to an earthy pragmatism, inspiring you to think seriously about your long-term plans.
It’s not the new year just yet, but you might find yourself thinking about what’s on your dance card for 2026. Big trips, big adventures, or even going back to study could suddenly pique your interest. There’s nothing to do but let yourself dream—in a very down-to-earth kind of way.
GEMINI AND GEMINI RISING
If you’ve been struggling to figure out which way is up, this week looks decidedly less untethered. With Capricorn season helping bring you back down to earth, getting on with things and staying pragmatic should feel significantly easier.
On Friday, you might notice a momentary resurgence of December’s hazy mood, but take heart knowing it is passing. Make the most of the energy by tackling something hard but necessary, like financial admin or a junk drawer that’s been goading you for far too long.
CANCER AND CANCER RISING
There’s a sense of resolve and grit this week that should feel like a welcome change to the month that’s been so far. As the Solstice and Capricorn season signal a focus on your closest relationships, the sky is primed for you to tackle things head-on. Being methodical and measured will help navigate any fractious family catch-ups scheduled for this week.
Despite the “keep calm and carry on” mood, you might need to fall into a heap by Friday. Cathartic, ugly crying is very much encouraged. Let yourself go… then let it go.
LEO AND LEO RISING
Life admin may not top your list of must-dos, but this week you could find yourself making significant inroads if you put your mind to it. With three celestial bodies in get-it-done Capricorn, you’ll feel inspired to create like Glennon Doyle and “do hard things”. Mid-week, if the conversation turns to politics, feel free to step away, especially around the 24th when things could take an unexpected (not necessarily harmonious) turn.
Towards Friday, the need to hunker down and go to ground could be too tempting to resist. Answer the call and stay under the doona if your schedule allows.
VIRGO AND VIRGO RISING
Are you off the clock yet? While Capricorn season is usually a time to get stuck into hard work for Virgo rising folks, it’s all about clocking off and tuning out. Of course, you can still tackle that with the industrious zeal you bring to any challenge, and this week you’ll be doing just that. It’s time to make space for fun and put play at the top of your list.
Take it easy mid-week when a curveball, potentially involving who’s bringing what dish to the party, could upset the apple cart. Then on Friday, you may find a boundary is tested, or you’re reminded where your “line” is in a particularly difficult relationship.
LIBRA AND LIBRA RISING
If you’re looking for a reason to knuckle down and get serious about a long-term project, this week could help you plant the seeds for greatness. As Capricorn season ignites a flurry of motivation, ambition and focus—especially around the home—you’ll be an unstoppable force. The start of the week looks juiciest for getting it done. Mid-week family get-togethers could go awry when politics or ideology dominate the conversation. This may be a great time to use your Libra diplomacy to gently guide the conversation back to less inflammatory issues.
By the end of the week, you might need a cup of tea and a lie down. Listen to your body, and if you need a day in bed or just lulling around by the pool, permit yourself to do just that.
SCORPIO AND SCORPIO RISING
Solstice vibes and Capricorn season are breathing new life this week. That sluggish, blahness is finally starting to fade into the background—although it’s not gone entirely. With your ruling planet clear of the swamp that has been the first few weeks of December, you’ve got space to breathe and a little more clarity to think about things long term. Side hustles, business plans and start-ups could all be playing on your mind as you’re struck with inspiration to think long term.
Being too pragmatic mid-week could lead to some upset around the family dinner table, while the end of the week looks a little exhausting—especially if you’ve got kids. Start planning how to keep them busy now so you don’t get to Friday and flip your lid when they start pushing your buttons.
SAGITTARIUS AND SAGITTARIUS RISING
December has not been kind or easy—especially for Sagittarians—but this week, there’s change afoot. With the Solstice on Monday, which is ushering in an energetic reset, you should feel more motivated and aligned with what it is you need to do than you have in weeks or maybe months.
Don’t let the energy go to waste; strike while the iron is hot and go for broke on projects or jobs that will reap the greatest reward long-term. Now is the time to be strategic, not sporadic. Make the most of it while the energy is on your side.
CAPRICORN AND CAPRICORN RISING
Seagoats rejoice, your season is upon us! Everyone—not just you—will be feeling clearer, calmer, and more reasonable than they have in weeks. It’s the exact vibe change you needed to get back on track and feel like you have a shred of control and/or direction. After a dark night of the soul in the first few weeks of December, this week you’re emboldened to take a deep breath and carry on, despite whatever chaos life throws at you. It’s the perfect state of mind to move into a new year and get you thinking about what you really want in the long term. No need to make a move on any big plans now, but let yourself start to ponder, “So, what next?”
AQUARIUS AND AQUARIUS RISING
The overwhelm should start to dissipate this week as the sky asks you to slow down and go within. As you enter the most introspective month of your astrological year (Capricorn season), your mission is to find some nourishment in stillness. That may be easier said than done with several celestial bodies pumping up your desire to tick off to-do lists, but despite the energy surge, your time will be best spent turning inwards rather than shooting for maximum productivity.
Don’t spare the empathy mid-week when the mood looks a little heightened. Get-togethers could take an unexpected turn if you get too Aquarian-analytical without thought for the more sensitive souls in the room.
PISCES AND PISCES RISING
You’ve been through the wringer of late, but this week there’s some light at the end of the tunnel. As you find yourself settling into a more steady (albeit more boring) rhythm, there’s something to be said for predictability. Duty and responsibility reign supreme as you do the rounds, particularly with extended families and neighbours. It’s a necessary evil around this time of year, and the “smallness” of it all could actually make it enjoyable after a few very unhinged weeks. Listen to your body around Friday when you may feel the exhaustion of the year catch up with you. Tears are encouraged. Let yourself process all that has been and all that never quite was.
