Just a few days after their official Instagram hard launch, Megan Thee Stallion and Klay Thompson have made their red-carpet debut as a couple, at The Pete & Thomas Gala in New York.
Named after her parents, The Pete & Thomas Foundation is an organisation founded by Megan, which aims to “provide resources to effect meaningful and positive change” for underprivileged communities. The foundation does this through focusing on education, housing, and community support.
Stepping out for the inaugural event dedicated to the heartfelt cause, Megan had the Dallas Mavericks star by her side in support. While on the red-carpet, the rapper gushed to Page Six about her new relationship.
“This is my first relationship where I’ve ever been with somebody who’s genuinely a nice person, and he makes me genuinely happy,” she disclosed. “I’ve just never dated somebody like him before and I’m just grateful that he’s here by my side.”
The pair looked ever the power couple, particularly in their matching black outfits. While Thompson opted for a black tux, Megan wore a stunning black halter gown with a keyhole cut out and a wide beaded belt detail at the hips.
This red-carpet appearance and insight into their relationship comes after Thompson hard launched their relationship on Instagram just this weekend. The athlete posted a photo-dump which included an image of Megan from behind, as well as one of the pair holding hands.
While at the time, fans were certain the woman in the pictures was Megan, it wasn’t until this event that they received a definitive answer. We don’t know how long the pair have been involved, however, rumours only began to fly earlier this month.
Nonetheless, one things for sure; they look great together on a red carpet.
