Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are no strangers to the limelight. The pair’s spectacularly public romance bloomed in 2023 and has become a central feature of our pop culture milieu since.
However, with publicity comes critique, and the pair have undeniably been subject to this, especially regarding the very public nature of their relationship and outings. A surface-level traversing of social media comments sections will regularly see phrases like “PR relationship” being thrown around.
Despite such speculation, Kelce is unapologetic about their moments in the spotlight.

While on the Bussin’ With the Boys podcast yesterday, the NFL tight end commented on Swift’s appearances at his games. “She tried to get to as many as she could last year,” he explained, regarding her attending numerous games despite her packed schedule with the ‘Eras’ tour.
He further revealed that in the upcoming NFL season, Swift will potentially be able to attend more games since she isn’t touring at the moment. On this, one of the hosts remarked on the pair “being [seen] all over.” Kelce defended their media presence in response.
“We’re a couple, dude, you already know. It gets thrown out there—it’s like we’re trying to seek attention every now and then—but it’s like we’re just enjoying life and having fun going to hockey games.”

This comes after the couple has stepped up their public profile in recent weeks, following a period of quiet. According to US Weekly, the pair had intentionally stepped out of the spotlight for a bit to avoid “unwanted attention” while they enjoyed their respective breaks. However, with the NFL season starting up again for Kelce, it seems they are slowly getting used to the attention again.
In 2023, Swift revealed that she had learnt that shying away from public life wasn’t always worth the effort.
“Life is short. Have adventures,” she said. “Me locking myself away in my house for a lot of years—I’ll never get that time back.”
