Lily Allen and David Harbour have reportedly gone their separate ways, and the details behind the split appear brutal.
From matching on Raya and dating in 2019 to a low-key Vegas wedding officiated by an Elvis impersonator, capped off with a family meal at In-N-Out during the pandemic, these two seemed like a Hollywood anomaly. But after four years of marriage, it looks like the fairytale has come to an abrupt and messy end, with rumours of infidelity and deception making their way through the public.
Reports from celebrity gossip page DeuxMoi suggested that Allen undertook quite the investigation to get to the bottom of Harbour’s strange behaviour, eventually redownloading—the very app where they met—on a mission to find out what was going on. Setting her preferences to “women,” she reportedly uncovered connections between Raya users and women her husband was following on Instagram. And then came the bombshell: an active profile belonging to Harbour himself, with a cringe bio that read, “Closet nerd that plays tough guys on your TV,” and a cartoon avatar as his profile picture that wreaked of a hidden agenda.
“She’s devastated,” a source close to the singer shared with The Sun. “She’s never even looked at anyone else since meeting David. This has hit her really hard.”

It’s a shocking twist for a couple whose relationship once seemed rock-solid.
While they tend to avoid the spotlight, the Stranger Things star often spoke glowingly about his wife, even describing their connection as “transformative” during an interview with People magazine. Their blended family life with Allen’s daughters, Ethel, 13, and Marnie, 11, painted a picture of a happy family.

Speaking on her Miss Me? podcast earlier this month, Allen opened up about how much she’s been struggling since the change.
“I’m finding it really hard to be interested in anything,” she told her co-host and longtime friend, Miquita Oliver. “I’ve been spiralling and spiralling, and it’s gotten out of control.”
She referenced panic attacks and the exhaustion that’s left her ducking out of social events early, unable to keep up appearances in the wake of her breakup.
“It’s like I can’t focus on anything except the pain I’m going through,” she admitted. In fact, the emotional toll has (understandably) been so overwhelming that Allen has decided to take a step back from her podcast to focus on her mental health.
The singer has always been one to discuss her emotional state openly, whether in her music or interviews, however, she has maintained her privacy regarding details of the split.
