They’ve come a long way from flipping burgers in stilettos and playing hooky on The Simple Life, but Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie proved they still know what’s hot by sending the internet into a meltdown over their 2024 reunion.
Coming together to begin filming the reboot of their hit 2000s reality show, everyone’s favourite noughties duo naturally took a moment to pose for selfies, prompting thousands of fans to flood their comments.
Two decades after they first hit our screens in velour tracksuits and ice blue eyeshadow, Richie, 42, and Hilton, 43, look a little more polished. In the photos posted to their respective Instagram pages, the House of Harlow founder sported a printed bustier top by Saint Laurent, high-waisted jeans, and a chestnut-hued belt that matched her gold earrings, while Hilton opted for a plunging jumpsuit with a leather tie-up belt.
Alluding to the project they’re currently working on, Hilton teased fans with some details.
“As some of you may know, we are doing a reunion special to celebrate twenty years of our show,” she said in a separate post. “It’s going to be epic, and I want to invite the biggest super fans.”
“That show was just so special… the best memories ever,” she continued. “It’s such a huge part of our [lives].”
Though the duo don’t seem to hang out like they used to—with both being busy parents to two children now—fate has brought their paths together once again, no doubt healing something within us all.
After being inseparable for much of their early twenties, Richie and Hilton had a falling out that caused them to not speak for years—the two even filmed the latter seasons of The Simple Life separately. As the years have gone by, however, they seem to have made amends, with Richie even supporting her old friend Paris at her wedding to Carter Reum in 2021.
