After an electric Seoul show for Cruise 2024, Gucci will take over the Tate Modern in London tonight for its Cruise 2025 show. Titled ‘Londra’, the collection marks the first cruise show since Sabato De Sarno‘s appointment as creative director.
Returning to where it all began, the Italian fashion house will unveil its latest collection in the British capital, where its founder, Guccio Gucci, first found his passion for design after moving there from Italy in the late 1800s.
Through teasers, we’re taken back to The Savoy Hotel, an institution where a teenage Gucci worked in 1899. It was this chapter in his life that inspired him to return to his native Florence to make luggage and luxury leather accessories, eventually founding the house of Gucci in 1921.
Over a century later, house muses Kate Moss and Little Simz are captured strutting about the streets of London and lounging around the iconic hotel in a trailer for the show.
