Dressed in Chanel Haute Couture, Margot Robbie has arrived at the the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles for the 2020 Golden Globes. The I Am Tonya star, who is currently nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Supporting Role for Bombshell, is wearing an intricate, technicolour beaded bustier and a crisp white satin crepe skirt from the FW19 collection, as directed by Virginie Viard.
According to reports, the bustier is crafted from approximately 4,750 sequins and beads, and took upwards of 200 hours to create overall. Delicate and wonderfully ornate, it’s a pared back but still awe-inspiring red carpet look from the Australian actress.
The sartorial moment was offset with somewhat simple hair and makeup, with just the tiniest swipe of fuchsia liner across her lid. Her makeup artist Pati Dubroff has posted a tiny hint as to the magic behind the look, revealing that Chanel Rouge Coco Flash 212 Contraste lipstick was used on Robbie’s pout.
The Globes red carpet actually comes mere hours after Robbie posted a tearful plea on Instagram, urging followers to donate to the Australian bush fire appeal in some capacity. The actress shared nostalgic photographs from her childhood, explaining that her home country is”really really hurting right now, and it really really needs you”. For more information on how to donate, you can follow Robbie’s post below, or alternatively look to this link.
