It’s the first time she’s shared a post on her account in three months – to the day, in fact. Fans are speculating as to whether she set herself a three month deadline to recuperate from the trauma in Paris, or just wanted to leave the sh*t show that was 2016 behind before she returned to public life.

ORIGINAL STORY:

Three months to the day since she was robbed at gunpoint in Paris, Kim Kardashian has indicated she’s ready to share some of her life with the public again.

A two-and-a-half-minute video montage featuring home movie style footage from her life was uploaded to her app on Wednesday, and it covers everything from private family moments at home to behind-the-scenes at Kanye’s Saint Pablo Tour shows.

There’s often cameras following them to capture footage for Keeping Up With The Kardashians, so Kim and co. undoubtedly have hundreds of hours of material to work with. The carefully chosen scenes featured in the clip indicate that Kim and Kanye are focused on the importance of family in the wake of both the robbery and his recent hospitalisation and subsequent cancellation of his Saint Pablo Tour.

Set to the song “Paradise” by Jeremih, in the video we see the family enjoying the orchestra Kanye organized to play in their home on Mother’s Day last year, Kanye giving Kim and North a kiss before he walks out on stage for a Saint Pablo Tour show, Saint taking his first steps towards his mum (who’s in stilettos, no less), and plenty of candid moments showing Kim and Kanye being affectionate towards each other.

The video has Kanye written all over it – it’s produced in a similar style to the montage of old home movies from Kim’s childhood that he made for her birthday in October and shared online.

The clip could be a reward to Kim’s fans, who are patiently waiting for her to resume regular programming after she so abruptly went from sharing her life daily, if not hourly, to completely pulling back following the Paris incident. It could be to silence the persistent rumours that she and Kanye are on the rocks after their troubled year. It could just be because she loves her family and wants the world to know.

Whatever the reason, it’s an intimate look inside the life of a family that dominated much of the online conversation in 2016, and judging from the video’s steadily rising YouTube views, both her fans and her haters can’t help but take a peek.
