It appears that Kim Kardashian spent her three months away from the spotlight after being robbed in Paris working on overhauling her online image.

After updating her Instagram account for the first time in three months on Wednesday, she went on an Insta-spree on Friday, uploading three images in quick succession, and they’re very different to her old style of posts.

The three shots continue on from the family-oriented direction she hinted at earlier in the week. There’s one of herself with Saint, one of just the kids and another on her own, and they’ve all been run through a soft, blue-tinged filter, giving the images a retro, polaroid feel. It’s a starkly different feel to the crisp photos of her old posts, which were mainly of her wearing revealing, sometimes gaudy outfits.

Kim also returned to Snapchat for the first time since she went cold turkey on social media in October, sharing a selfie while in a car next to Kris Jenner, wearing a low-cut black blazer and a lip ring.

After the trauma of being robbed at gunpoint, it’s not surprising Kim would decide to overhaul aspects of her life. For the reality star this seems to mean a move away from attention seeking bikini selfies and boasting about her luxurious lifestyle to a more low-key, family-focused look. And from a business perspective (let’s never forget that the Kardashians are one) with Kylie Jenner moving into the sexed-up selfies space, it makes sense for the most famous Kardashian to evolve into Kim 2.0.
