After Kim Kardashian was violently robbed of her valuables in Paris last year, now Kendall Jenner has become the victim of a jewellery thief.

TMZ reports that Kendall called police to her Los Angeles home at 1am Thursday local time after noticing jewellery missing from a box in her bedroom. However, it appears the heist was an inside job, as no signs of forced entry were found, and Jenner was hosting a group of friends at her home at the time.

The website says the 21-year-old left her home at midnight and, it was when when she returned at 1am that she noticed the missing jewellery, said to be worth more than AUD $250,000. According to TMZ, police “are certain the thief knew exactly where Kendall kept her bling”.

The investigation continues.

The Kardashian-Jenners had already significantly upped their security following Kim’s traumatic gun point robbery in Paris in October, but it appears they may need to continue to tighten it after this latest incident.

In 2016 both Scott Disick’s home and Kanye West’s studio were also targeted by thieves.

The string of jewellery heists targeting the family is reminiscent of the ‘bling ring’, an organized crime group active in Los Angeles from 2008 – 2009 that monitored celebrities on social media and struck their homes to steal jewellery and other valuables when they knew they were out. Orlando Bloom, Paris Hilton, Rachel Bilson and Lindsay Lohan were all victims.
