Beyoncé released her official video – completely free of a Tidal subscription – for her track Sorry overnight. The black and white visual, which debuted as part of the album Lemonade on HBO in April is now available on YouTube. (Does this mean Beyoncé is not part of the 180 artists declaring war on YouTube copyright laws via a letter to congress?)
Directed by Dikayl Rimmasch, tennis icon Serena Williams also features (by means of twerking) in Beyoncè’s most-talked about video for all Becky-with-the-good-hair-purposes. “[Beyoncé] told me that she just wants to dance, like just be really free and just dance like nobody’s looking and go all out,” sais Williams in a May interview. “So that wasn’t easy in the beginning, but then it got easier… I thought that particular song on the visual album was really a strong song, and it was also really fun at the same time.”
