In a new interview, Joe Alwyn has shed light on life after his six-year relationship with Taylor Swift, addressing the \u201cnoise\u201d that has lingered since their split<\/a> in April 2023.<\/p>\n

Speaking with The Guardian<\/em><\/a>, the actor reflected on the challenges of navigating public fascination with his relationship amid a budding career and revealed that he has very much moved on from Swift.<\/p>\n

\u201cRight from the beginning, tried to focus on the things that are meaningful for me: friends, family, work, of course,\u201d Alwyn, 33, told the outlet. \u201cSo noise outside of that, I think I\u2019ve done what lots of people who find themselves in the public eye do, which is just try and ignore it.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you don\u2019t, and if you let all of that other stuff in, and if it starts to affect you and your behaviour, you\u2019re living from the outside in,” he added. “And then you\u2019re pretty f\u2013ked.\u201d<\/p>\n

Though their breakup seemed amicable for the most part, the\u00a0Conversations with Friends<\/em><\/a> star continues to endure a whirlwind of media speculation and fan intrigue about his personal life.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

When pressed about the continued discourse surrounding their relationship and whether he has moved on, Alwyn remarked, \u201cThat\u2019s something for other people to do.”<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re talking about something that\u2019s a while ago now in my life,\u201d he explained. \u201cSo that\u2019s for other people. That\u2019s what I feel.\u201d<\/p>\n

Swift and Alwyn began dating in 2016 and kept a low profile throughout their relationship before breaking up in 2023.<\/p>\n

In June 2024, Alwyn opened up about the complexities of ending such a high-profile romance.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would hope that anyone and everyone can empathise and understand the difficulties that come with the end of a long, loving, fully committed relationship of over six and a half years,\u201d he told The Times<\/em>. \u201cWhat is unusual and abnormal in this situation is that one week later… it\u2019s suddenly in the public domain, and the outside world is able to weigh in.\u201d<\/p>\n

“There is always going to be a gap between what is known and what is said,” he continued. “I have made my peace with that.”<\/p>\n

While Alwyn remains focused on his work and has kept out of the spotlight, Swift has since been dating NFL star Travis Kelce<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Unlike her time with Alwyn, the songstress has leaned into public attention with Kelce. In a 2024 interview, she admitted that the two do not let the public frenzy around their relationship get in the way of supporting each other’s work.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m going to see him do what he loves. We\u2019re showing up for each other; other people are there, and we don\u2019t care,\u201d she told Time<\/em><\/a> magazine. \u201cThe opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you\u2019re seeing someone.
