When Angelina Jolie arrived at the 82nd<\/sup> Golden Globe awards<\/a> in Los Angeles on January 5, a group of paparazzi began yelling her name. \u201cAngelina!\u201d \u201cAngelina!\u201d For how famous this globe-winning actor is, her style is almost understated\u2014so trend-proof that, like her film credits, it could be seen again and again.<\/p>\n

In a silver embellished gown by Alexander McQueen\u2014with its metal drape fringing\u2014the 49-year-old Maria <\/em>actor and director shone particularly bright on this evening. And, indeed, her skin did as well.<\/p>\n

Jolie\u2019s makeup artist Raoul Alejandre perfected her skin using TOM FORD Shade and Illuminate Soft Radiance Foundation SPF 50 in 4.5 Ivory and TOM FORD Shade and Illuminate Blush in Brazen Rose<\/a>. His muse\u2019s eyes were lined with TOM FORD Eye Defining Pen in Deeper<\/a>\u00a0and finished with TOM FORD Emotionproof Mascara, while her brows were enhanced with TOM FORD Brow Sculptor in Taupe<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Her lips, glossier than a polished golden gong, were smothered in TOM FORD Runway Lip Colour in 01 Spanish Pink<\/a>,\u00a0and topped with TOM FORD Soleil Neige Gloss Luxe in 16 Celestial<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Directed by Pablo Lorrain, Maria<\/em><\/a> sees a stiffly dignified Jolie play Maria Callas, an\u00a0American and Greek soprano and one of the most renowned and influential opera singers of the 20th century. In the opulent drama, it is Jolie who is actually singing opera.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was so daunting. You know when the fear is so big and the thing is so impossible, you\u2019re kind of calm,\u201d Jolie told Access Hollywood<\/a><\/em> on the Golden Globes red carpet<\/a>. \u201cWhen I was on the stage at La Scala [in Milan], I was almost giddy because it was so beyond anything I\u2019ve ever been comfortable doing.
