In Hollywood, January, February and March are an almost extension of the festive period where the champagne flows freely: The Golden Globes<\/a>, The Critics Choice Awards<\/a>, The SAGS<\/a>, The Oscars<\/a>, the list goes on. But this season, if you\u2019re five-time Oscar nominee Nicole Kidman<\/a>, you\u2019re toasting to everything with a glass of ice cold milk.<\/p>\n

In a tribute to her Babygirl<\/em> <\/a>character, a high-flying CEO who has a torrid affair with her much younger intern, the Australian megastar, 57, took to the stage at the National Board of Review in New York on January 7 to accept an award for Best Actress and chug a glass of milk.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen we found out Babygirl <\/em>was listed as one of your top 10 films<\/a> and I had won Best Actress, our film had not come out yet, and you have no idea how important it was to receive that acknowledgement from you,\u201d Kidman said in her acceptance speech.<\/p>\n

\u201cMiddle age. Sexuality and women\u2026If anyone would like to join me, please. I\u2019m going to raise a glass of milk to all the baby girls in the room,\u201d she gleefully touted to the cinephiles before her. \u201cGood girl!\u201d<\/p>\n

Releasing in Australian cinemas on January 30, be on the look out for the scene where intern Samuel Romy (played by Harris Dickinson) orders his boss Romy (Kidman) a glass of milk to her table in a restaurant. Romy grabs the glass and stares at Samuel as she finishes the glass of milk in one go. The scene is a poignant one and is considered an almost the tipping point for their affair.<\/p>\n
