It\u2019s been a busy period for celebrities on both sides of the pond. As the countdown to the annual Academy Award begins, as does the flurry of red carpets rolled out to toast their accolades and campaign for the industry\u2019s highest achievement. Overnight in London, the British Independent Film Awards returned with aplomb, spotlighting the emerging and established names across the United Kingdom and abroad in an intimate ceremony. <\/span><\/p>\n

Though the guest list was considerably smaller than most Beverly Hills soir\u00e9es, the A-listers certainly didn\u2019t disappoint on the sartorial front. Leading the charge was none other than nascent leading lady, Mikey Madison. Certainly, one to watch, the actress brought a touch of glamour and mystique with her vintage off-the-shoulder gown. It was designed by John Galliano for Christian Dior and featured a stunning black lace layered over a nude slip to create a dramatic sensual illusion. (The piece was sourced by Los Angeles-based and \u2018It Girl\u2019 approved boutique, Aralda Vintage.) <\/span><\/p>\n

Elsewhere, breakout star Ambika Mod, who broke all our hearts earlier this year alongside Leo Woodall<\/a> in Netflix\u2019s <\/span>One Day<\/span><\/i>, continue the lace trend in a sculpted, boudoir-style dress from Rabanne dress, She also picked up on the Old Hollywood glamour with a loose side party, textured waves and a vampy red lip that matched the Artists4Ceasefire pin fixed to her bustier. <\/span><\/p>\n

Across the red carpet, Irish actress Saoirse Ronan continued her masterful sartorial streak in a gorgeous midnight blue Erdem<\/a> gown from the luxuriate\u2019s Fall\/Winter 2024 collection. The metallic sapphire evening dress is crafted from a crushed organza cloque jacquard and features a high neck with dramatic cape detail, as well as flattering drapery at the bodice and skirt. (It\u2019s also on sale<\/a> for anyone looking for a last-minute holiday party dress<\/a>!) <\/span><\/p>\n

It was an incredible night for Ireland at the BFIAs with hip-hop group, Kneecap, taking home the top prize for their semi-autobiographical self-titled biopic. The trio eschewed the posh setting of the event by dressing in their typical stage regalia, which included a balaclava with the <\/span>tr\u00eddhathach <\/span><\/i>or tricolour of their flag. <\/span><\/p>\n

While we\u2019ll see many of these actors grace the red carpet at the upcoming 2025 Golden Globes<\/a> in January, it\u2019s always refreshing to get a taste of the best style London has to offer. (As is the case with BAFTA Rising Star award winner<\/a> Mia McKenna-Bruce in new season Dior<\/a>!). <\/span><\/p>\n
