In the Australian summer fashion landscape, nothing is more inescapable than a matching set. From shorts and shirts to waistcoats and trousers, the chokehold these no-brainer outfits have on the local offering knows no bounds. However, an enduring issue that we face during the festive season is how to get these casual co-ords party-ready. Well, allow Rihanna to serve as inspiration.<\/p>\n

While hanging around Los Angeles with A$AP Rocky<\/a> and her son, RZA<\/a>, the singer was photographed wearing a black-and-white striped button-up shirt and matching baggy trousers\u2014look 39 of Bottega Veneta<\/a>‘s Pre-Fall 24 collection, to be specific.<\/p>\n

The set alone is a quintessential day look, along with her more casual sneakers<\/a> and baseball cap, but with a few additions, Rihanna makes the look work for all occasions.<\/p>\n

Swathed in layers of gold jewellery, the Fenty Beauty mogul<\/a> made sure her lacy bralette and necklaces were on full display, with her top buttons left unfastened.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0pi\u00e8ce de r\u00e9sistance<\/em>, though, was a silk-printed scarf draped graciously over her shoulders and layered under the collar.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rendered in an off-white shade with a black border and pink and orange floral illustrations, the accessory brought an instant dose of elevated elegance to the otherwise laidback outfit, filling us with ideas for our own dressing conundrums.<\/p>\n

While it’s a given that accessories can make or break an outfit, Rihanna is the ultimate example of how just a sprinkling of jewels and silk can completely transform ready-to-wear.<\/p>\n
