The coronavirus pandemic has not stopped Kris Jenner and the rest of the Kardashian family from delivering us the content we need and deserve.<\/p>\n

When the lockdown initially threatened to close the world, Jenner and Keeping Up With The Kardashians<\/em> producer Farnaz Farjam got together to brainstorm ways to outwit, outlast and outplay corona. They also were concerned for the health and safety of the family and the filming crew, of course.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Elle US<\/em><\/a>, Farjam and Jenner arrived at the idea of Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner filming themselves, in lieu of a film crew. The producer did say though this has been quite challenging.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf Kris gets annoyed and walks out of the camera angle, it’s not like we can follow her and continue shooting. She has to come back onto the screen and explain [why she walked away],\u201d Farjam explains. \u201cIt’s less fly-on-the-wall, because we have to give them direction and they have to be more informative with us\u2026 But because this is the Kardashians and they’re entertaining regardless, it will be a fun watch for people.\u201d<\/p>\n

Initially, Kim, Kourtney and Khloe would record their own footage and upload it to a shared album but Farjam said it was becoming very apparent that viewers would get sick of watching such low-quality footage. It was time for Plan B.<\/p>\n

“[Farjam] hired a director of photography and a technician, who put on a precautionary hazmat suit and configured brightly-lit rooms in Kim’s self-described ‘minimalist monastery’ mansion and in Khlo\u00e9’s Calabasas home. There they set up phone-friendly tripods, which were carefully cleaned with sanitary wipes to combat the transfer of any germs. The family waited 24 hours before entering the rooms to further avoid any potential COVID-19 contamination,”\u00a0reports Elle<\/em>‘s writer Rose Minutaglio.<\/p>\n
