It wasn\u2019t too long ago that we saw Lily-Rose Depp dripping in sleaze through the sculpted body suits and scantily clad Saint Laurent sets she wore for HBO\u2019s <\/span>The Idol<\/span><\/i>.<\/span><\/p>\n

But just as the pendulum that is the trend cycle swings, Depps\u2019 wardrobe has shifted into a hauntingly beautiful aesthetic that can only be described as the antithesis of her Jocelyn costume. <\/span><\/p>\n

That was cemented overnight when the emerging scream queen made her red carpet debut for Robert Eggers\u2019 terrifying reimagining of <\/span>Nosferatu<\/span><\/i>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In the modern rendering of the beloved gothic tale, Depp fronts the film as Ellen Hutter<\/a>, a precocious ing\u00e9nue stalked by an ancient vampire played by resident creature actor, Bill Skarsg\u00e5rd. <\/span>Throughout the horror, we see Depp fall further into a dark possession as the blood-sucker attempts to consume her, both figuratively and literally. <\/span><\/p>\n

Paying homage to these themes, Depp fuses the 19th-century setting with a thrilling contemporary elegance fitting for the role. <\/span>This was something she began in Los Angeles in an elegant white and black gown with a contrasting pink rosette at the 2024 Governors Awards. <\/span><\/p>\n

Now, here at the London premiere at\u00a0 Leicester Square\u2019s Odeon Theatre, she\u2019s doubling down on this mode in a soft lilac gown from Chanel. <\/span><\/p>\n

As one of Karl Lagerfeld\u2019s final \u2018choupettes\u2019, a word used to describe his muses, Depp has a long history with the French Maison beginning from when she was a teenager. <\/span><\/p>\n

Here, she opted for one of Virgine Viard\u2019s creations, wearing the closing look from the Luxuriate\u2019s Fall 2020 Couture collection which features a ruffled shawl-like collar and panelled skirt made from a silk taffeta.\u00a0 <\/span>T<\/span>he look was completed by a multi-coloured gold and jewel crucifix that hung from the plunging neckline.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As we\u2019ve already seen from Emma Corrin<\/a>, the cast is hell-bent on making the press tour a fashion fantasy. Corrin followed suit in a ghost-like sheer gown from Alexander McQueen\u2019s<\/a> Spring\/Summer 2025 collection.<\/span><\/p>\n

Though they\u2019re not quite method-dressing, inspiration is clearly being drawn\u2014or sucked, in this case\u2014from the movie\u2019s subject matter. Yes, we\u2019ve come a long way from the days of <\/span>Bram Stoker’s Dracula <\/span><\/i>or the <\/span>Twilight <\/span><\/i>saga. <\/span><\/p>\n
