Greetings From Kyoto"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The postman has been kind today, delivering another &#8216;<a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/search\/?search=postcards%20from%20home&amp;tags=postcards%20from%20home\">Postcard From Home.<\/a>&#8216;<\/p>\n<p>However today&#8217;s mail comes from a place worlds away from <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/articles\/postcards-from-home-greetings-from-concord\/\">Concord, Sydney<\/a>. It comes from Kyoto, Japan, a place of unbridled beauty and centuries-old tradition, where travel journalist and photographer, Rachel E T Davies, writes to us from the former imperial capital.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/girljininjapan\/\" target=\"_blank\">A &#8220;<em>Gai\u2019jin<\/em> living in Kyoto&#8221;<\/a> (<em>foreigner<\/em> in Japanese), Davies has called Higashiyama, Kyoto home for the past five years.
