Nutritionally, a cup will provide around 180 calories. Another advantage is their low glycemic index. They taste similar to peas and are perfect for enhancing soups and salads, or simply as a mid-morning or afternoon snack.<\/p>\n<h2>Why You Should Eat More Edamame<\/h2>\n<p>Edamame are rich in plant-based proteins and provide a good amount of minerals, like potassium, which is essential for regulating blood pressure. They also contain antioxidants and fiber that help protect cardiovascular health.<\/p>\n<p>Including edamame in meals can also help prevent blood sugar spikes, which over time can increase the risk of weight gain, type 2 diabetes, and metabolic diseases.<\/p>\n<p>Adding them to your daily diet supports bone health as well.
