In a steamy new profile with <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.interviewmagazine.com\/film\/jennifer-lopez-tells-nikki-glaser-how-a-turbulent-summer-changed-her\" target=\"_blank\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Interview Magazine<\/span><\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.interviewmagazine.com\/film\/jennifer-lopez-tells-nikki-glaser-how-a-turbulent-summer-changed-her\" target=\"_blank\">,<\/a> the singer and actress has opened up about heartbreak, the lessons she\u2019s learnt from love and finally feeling \u201cfree\u201d out of her relationship. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This Is Me\u2026Now <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">star filed for divorce from the Academy Award winner on their <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/articles\/why-jennifer-lopez-ben-affleck-divorce-anniversary\/\">second wedding anniversary<\/a> after rekindling their noughties romance in 2021. (The actor and director is yet to make a statement on their split, but has <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/articles\/ben-affleck-kick-kennedy-dating\/\">reportedly been embroiled with American socialite Kick Kennedy<\/a>.) <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Revealing details of their separation for the first time, Lopez admitted that her \u201cwhole f****** world exploded\u201d following the release of her most recent studio album and accompanying movie musical. Lopez was at the receiving end of online vitriol after her documentary <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Greatest Love Story Never Told<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> was critically and commercially panned. The 55-year-old also cancelled a scheduled worldwide stadium tour in May, citing she was \u201ctaking time off to be with her children, family and close friends\u201d. <\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_253400\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-253400\" style=\"width: 2179px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-253400\" src=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Jennifer-Lopez-Ben-Affleck-Relationship-Issues-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"As speculation about the state of Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck\u2019s relationship runs rampant across social media, one unlikely arbiter has weighed in on the rumours: Jennifer Garner. Indeed, a source reportedly close to Affleck\u2019s ex-wife and mother of his three children, Violet, 18, Fin, 15 and Samuel, 12, confirmed her support for the actor and director, explaining she only \u201cwants the best for\u201d him. &quot;She wants him happy and healthy so he can be the best dad possible,&quot; said the insider. Garner didn\u2019t comment on the reputed break up, but the anonymous informant added that the Suddenly 30 star \u201clikes\u201d Lopez for her \u201chealthy lifestyle\u201d and \u201csupport\u201d of Affleck\u2019s sobriety. \u201cJen wants that for Ben,\u201d they continued. Lopez and Affleck reunited in 2021 after ending their long-term relationship and engagement in 2004. The images of the pair kissing on the streets of SoHo were hailed as evidence that love after heartbreak is real. (And undoubtedly served as the catalyst for some of us to reunite with a former flame). The couple were said to be having relationship struggles following the release of Lopez\u2019s panned genre-bending romance musical, This Is Me... Now: A Love Story. Some tabloids had even gone so far as to say divorce was very much in the couple\u2019s future, with Affleck no longer living at their shared Los Angeles residence. Subsequent public appearances didn\u2019t help to quash this line of thought, as the Good Will Hunting star was seen without his wedding band on multiple occasions. Lopez is currently on a press tour for her latest release, a sci-fi Netflix film called Atlas, but is yet to comment on the reports herself. The couple allegedly spent Memorial Day weekend apart. Could it be the case that Hollywood\u2019s greatest reunion story has already closed its latest chapter? It\u2019s too soon to tell. Going into further detail about the past couple of months with comedian Nikki Glaser, she shared that she initially thought she\u2019d accepted she was \u201cgood on her own\u201d but that ultimately wasn\u2019t the case. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cThis summer, I had to be like, \u2018I need to go off and be on my own. I want to prove to myself that I can do that\u2019,\u201d she shared. Lopez added that she can say for the first time in her life that she is not looking for a partner. I can\u2019t be looking for happiness in other people.\u201d Lopez acknowledged that she doesn\u2019t regret her <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/articles\/jennifer-lopez-ben-affleck-wedding-anniversary\/\">marriage<\/a>, even after all the \u201cpain\u201d it caused her. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cThat doesn\u2019t mean it didn\u2019t almost take me out for good. It almost did,\u201d she shared. \u201cBut now, on the other side of it, I think to myself, \u201cF****, that is exactly what I needed. Thank you, god. I\u2019m comfortable with this person treating me this way,\u201d she divulged. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Lopez and Affleck definitively called it quits in early 2024, nearly 20 years to the day since they <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/articles\/jennifer-lopez-ben-affleck-breakup-2004\/\">ended their engagement in 2004<\/a>.
