Patrick J. Adams<\/a> who plays the likeable, gifted\u2014albeit fraudulent\u2014lawyer, Mike Ross, in the hit television series Suits<\/em> has spoken out about the first time he met co-star Meghan Markle.<\/p>\n

In his new podcast, Sidebar: A Suits Watch Podcast<\/em><\/a>, whom Sarah Rafferty, 51, (who played Donna Paulsen on the show), Adams, 43, says his chemistry read with Markle (who was auditioning to play Mike\u2019s love interest Rachel) went really well. In fact, he says the chemistry between the actors was almost immediate.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was pretty clear, if I remember correctly, that she was going to get the part from the minute we did the chemistry read,\u201d Adams revealed. \u201cIt was just so much easier than it was with anybody else.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was this scene and the next one where she walks Mike through the whole office,\u201d he continued. \u201cShe crushed it and she crushes it in the show.\u201d<\/p>\n

Unbeknown to most Suits <\/em>fans, Adams revealed Markle, 43, and he had actually worked together in the past.<\/p>\n

\u201cMeghan and I had done a pilot before, a terrible, terrible pilot together,\u201d he told Rafferty. \u201cI won’t even say the name of it, but you can IMDb it. There was a setting up of a romantic relationship in the pilot. And then, we never saw each other again. The pilot failed. It was terrible and went away. And so, we had never seen each other nor spoken to each other again.\u201d<\/p>\n

Suits<\/em> arrived onto our screens in 2011 and lasted nine seasons. Its last air date was September 25 2019, although Markle had resigned<\/a> the year prior when she began dating Prince Harry<\/a>. Adams married fellow Suits co-star Troian Bellisario<\/a> who played one of his girlfriends Clare Bowden. Both Adams and Bellisario<\/a> were present at Markle and Prince Harry’s wedding<\/a>.<\/p>\n
