According to dermatologist Neera Nathan, there\u2019s one particular food that effectively fights the appearance of wrinkles: <strong>almonds<\/strong>. This is her top recommendation for both her patients and followers on TikTok. Her advice? <em>\u201cEat three handfuls of almonds a day!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<h2>Almonds: Cut Wrinkles by 16% with Daily Intake<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Almonds<\/strong> are packed with antioxidant-rich <strong>vitamin E, healthy fats,<\/strong> and minerals like <strong>zinc<\/strong> and <strong>selenium<\/strong>, all of which <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/us\/articles\/5-superfoods-against-aging\/\">slow down cellular aging<\/a>. And science backs this up.<\/p>\n<p>A 2021 study published in the scientific journal <em>MDPI<\/em> provides promising evidence. Researchers in California followed 49 postmenopausal women for 24 weeks\u2014about six months. Each participant consumed 400 calories of almonds daily, equivalent to three handfuls.<\/p>\n<p>After several weeks, these women noticed a 16% reduction in wrinkles and a 20% decrease in hyperpigmentation.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>A Feeling of Fullness<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>In addition to these impressive results, participants reported plumper skin and a more even complexion. The study also revealed increased skin hydration, especially on the forehead and cheeks.<\/p>\n<p>However, it&#8217;s important to note that this research was conducted on women with skin phototypes 1 and 2, meaning it applies to lighter complexions that barely tan. No studies have been conducted yet on darker skin tones.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond its <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/us\/articles\/coffee-anti-aging-ally\/\">anti-aging benefits<\/a>, almonds are also a great snack option as they provide a feeling of fullness, even when consumed in small amounts.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a
