Besides being one of the most famous actresses in the world, Charlize Theron is also a mother of two daughters, Jackson and August.<\/p>\n

In a rare interview with ET about her family, the actress shared how her two daughters, whom she adopted in 2012 and 2015, still fall for the oldest trick in the book.<\/p>\n

What was Charlize Theron talking about? Reverse psychology.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The South African-born star revealed that, like many parents, she learned that as soon as she tells her daughters to do something, they tend to do the opposite. That’s why reverse psychology has become a key part of her parenting approach.<\/strong><\/p>\n

But Charlize Theron doesn\u2019t just use this psychological trick to get her daughters to obey; she also tries to lead by example through her everyday actions.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A clear example of this is her dedication to philanthropy<\/strong>. Her work with the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project (CTAOP) is especially noteworthy. She launched CTAOP in 2007. This organization addresses major issues in Africa. It focuses on disparities in sexual and reproductive health. It also tackles gender-based violence and HIV\/AIDS. Additionally, CTAOP works on providing accessible educational materials for African youth.<\/p>\n

The star emphasized that her commitment to helping others is something she fell in love with even before becoming a mother. Now, however, she hopes her daughters will follow her example and develop the same passion for philanthropy.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019ve seen me be a part of this project, working to make it as successful as possible. And so, I really hope they learn from all of that.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Charlize Theron hopes that her daughters will grow up with a strong sense of charity and a desire to help others.<\/strong><\/p>\n

However, the actress also acknowledged the importance of allowing her daughters to discover their own personal interests.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cI step back because I want them to also discover their own personal interests, what they like to do. I don’t want them to be mini versions of me. Just good people, and that\u2019s really what I want them to be, above all.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
