The King might\u2019ve left the building, but thanks to Austin Butler\u2019s captivating performance as Elvis Presley in Baz Luhrmann’s 2022 biopic<\/a>, the musician<\/a> is continuing to pique our interest. Yet, the point that continues to persist is the Academy Award nominee\u2019s<\/a> subsequent adaptation of the musician\u2019s signature Southern drawl. <\/span><\/p>\n

Butler\u2019s voice undergoing a complete metamorphosis has been the subject of think pieces, internet chatter and even mocked by the actor himself during his debut <\/span>Saturday Night Live<\/span><\/i><\/a> monologue<\/a>. Now, two years after Butler brought \u201cThe Memphis Flash\u201d to the silver screen, Cindy Crawford<\/a> has weighed in on the neverending accent.<\/span><\/p>\n

When asked by the patriarch of the Bravo universe<\/a>, Andy Cohen, what her \u201ctake\u201d on Butler\u2019s newfound Tennessee tone was on <\/span>Watch What Happens Live, <\/span><\/i>Crawford said, \u201cThat\u2019s Austin to me\u201d. \u201cI didn\u2019t know that he was from Anaheim,\u201d she continued, referencing Butler\u2019s Southern Californian roots. \u201cHe spent so long being Elvis that I think it just stuck.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

Crawford also added that she didn\u2019t know him prior to the film, so hearing him speak with that cadence is all she\u2019s familiar with. For the uninitiated, Crawford\u2019s supermodel<\/a> daughter, Kaia Gerber, has been dating<\/a> Butler since soft-launching their relationship<\/a> by attending a yoga class in late 2022.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The 32-year-old was seen in a family photo with Gerber\u2019s brother, Presley, her father, tequila magnate Rande Gerber, and Crawford at Celine\u2019s Winter 2023 show at The Wiltern.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n
