In the inspired spirit of <\/span>Paris Is Burning<\/span><\/i> and as perpetually repeated by RuPaul: \u201cReading is fundamental\u201d. Who knows this better than Kaia Gerber? The supermodel<\/a>, actress, bookworm<\/a> and founder of the online literary club \u2018Library Science\u2019 has always encouraged us to embrace the power of written storytelling. <\/span><\/p>\n

Now, this love of novels has translated into her wardrobe as fashion\u2019s favourite bibliophile, that is a a person who collects or has a great love of books, took to the streets of New York wearing a slogan t-shirt with an apt message on it: \u201cCome to my house, I have great books\u201d. <\/span><\/p>\n

The model\u2019s latest notable street style look came during an outing with boyfriend Austin Butler. Following on from their double date with Camilla Marrone<\/a> to a theatre in the East Village, Gerber stepped out in Midtown for a Q&A with playwright Max Wolf Friedlich. <\/span><\/p>\n

Toting a hard copy of her notes from her conversation on the two-person play titled \u201cJob\u201d, Gerber continued her minimalist streak in her own merch, her oft-repeated low-rise navy trousers from Paloma Wool<\/a> and a pair of heeled suede black ballet flats<\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n

The excursion has cemented the return of the graphic baby tee into the wardrobes of the street style set. The tongue-in-cheek communication tactic is a hallmark of the Y2K aesthetic. Yet a slew of recent celebrity appearances have given the text-barring t-shirt a new relevance. In need of styling inspiration?
