It might be a \u2018Brat\u2019 summer, but for models-turned-actresses Kaia Gerber and Camila Morrone, their rising mercury wardrobes have eschewed the vapid chartreuse hue dominating the zeitgeist. Indeed, the best friends offered a lesson in Downtown dressing<\/a> during a girl\u2019s night in New York City with the style savants wearing matching monochromatic silhouettes for an outing in the East Village. <\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

For the occasion, the Celine muse and <\/span>Palm Royale <\/span><\/i>star continued her minimalist streak<\/a> in a black tank top, low-slung silk maxi skirt that sat on her hip bones and black leather ballet flats from coveted French brand Repetto. The <\/span>Daisy Jones and The Six<\/span><\/i> star also received the balmy memo, complimenting Gerber\u2019s fuss-free ensemble in a look similar to the flirty D\u00f4en dress<\/a> that went viral when she was seen wearing it earlier in the week.<\/span><\/p>\n

Morrone\u2019s outfit consisted of a body-conscious shape that slightly gathered in the waist before cascading into an asymmetrical hem. See pictures of their similar date night style<\/a>, here<\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s reported the pair enjoyed an evening at the theatre\u2014fitting considering their vocation as thespians\u2014watching a play titled \u201cPre-Existing Condition\u201d. The production debuted earlier this week ahead of its limited run at the historic Connelly Theater, with their presence in the audience allegedly \u201cunmissable\u201d due to the small size of the audience. <\/span><\/p>\n

They were also joined by Gerber\u2019s boyfriend and Academy Award-winning actor Austin Butler, music video director Cole Bennett and <\/span>The White Lotus <\/span><\/i>star Fred Hechinger. (The latter will soon become a household name after his portrayal as Emperor Caracalla in Ridley Scott\u2019s <\/span>Gladiator II<\/span><\/i> across from Paul Mescal, Pedro Pascal and Joseph Quinn.) <\/span><\/p>\n

These sightings of Gerber and Morrone will soon become commonplace after the duo cemented their friendship on a recent girl\u2019s trip to the Grand Cayman\u2019s luxurious (and most appropriately, Slim Aarons-inspired) Palm Heights hotel. <\/span><\/p>\n
