Could it be? Will PR queen Samantha Jones<\/a> reunite with the gang for And Just Like That<\/em><\/a>‘s third season<\/a>? Well, according to rumors, the potential for a Kim Cattrall cameo was a sure thing.<\/p>\n

Over the weekend, an article proliferated on X speculated that Cattrall was set to revive her iconic role for the Sex and the City<\/em> reboot’s<\/a> upcoming season. As reported by Life & Style<\/a>,<\/em> \u201cit\u2019s widely believed\u201d that the actress would play a significant role and that the series was \u201cjust waiting for the right time to announce it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Naturally, a flurry of fans flooded the social media platform to express their joy over the news\u2014until Cattrall set the record straight that she would not<\/em> be returning.<\/p>\n

\u201cAw, that\u2019s so kind, but I\u2019m not,\u201d she wrote on X.<\/p>\n

Cattrall was not part of the initial reboot’<\/a>s cast when it debuted<\/a> in 2021, but she did make a surprise cameo in season two’s finale, where she shared a phone call with Sarah Jessica Parker<\/a>‘s character, Carrie Bradshaw<\/a>\u2014the two did not film together, though.<\/p>\n

Rumors of a feud<\/a> between the Sex and the City<\/em><\/a> foursome first circulated in 2004 when Cattrall didn\u2019t sit with her costars at the Emmys.<\/p>\n

Tensions between Cattrall and the cast reportedly stemmed from being excluded outside of filming and worsened when Parker, the show’s lead, was offered more money to take on an executive producer title for the show’s second season and beyond.<\/p>\n

In 2018, things took a tragic turn when Cattrall’s brother unexpectedly passed away. Parker offered her condolences<\/a> via Instagram, but this didn’t quite land, and the feud hit a fever pitch.<\/p>\n

Cattrall then posted<\/a> text that read, \u201cI do not need your love or support at this tragic time, @sarahjessicaparker.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMy Mom asked me today, \u2018When will that @sarahjessicaparker, that hypocrite, leave you alone?\u2019 Your continuous reaching out is a painful reminder of how cruel you really were then and now,” read her caption. “Let me make this VERY clear. (If I haven\u2019t already) You are not my family. You are not my friend. So I\u2019m writing to tell you one last time to stop exploiting our tragedy in order to restore your \u2018nice girl\u2019 persona.\u201d<\/p>\n

In an interview with People<\/em><\/a>, Parker confirmed that she resigned to not patching things up after the barb.<\/p>\n

“I actually never responded,” she revealed<\/a>. “And I won\u2019t because she needed to say what she needed to say, and that is her privilege.\u201d<\/p>\n

Call us optimists, but we’re not completely writing off another cameo from the actress in the series. And if not, at least they didn’t kill off<\/a> the great Samantha Jones<\/a>, as some rumors
