It\u2019s time to raise a Papa Salt gin and tonic<\/a> and toast to Margot Robbie and her husband Tom Ackerely<\/a>. As per reports, the Oscar-nominated<\/a> Australian actress<\/a> is pregnant with her first child. Both she and the English producer are yet to comment on the exciting announcement, but multiple publications<\/a> have confirmed the news after images of the 34-year-old debuting her baby bump while in Italy<\/a> began to circulate in the early hours of July 8. <\/span><\/p>\n

Robbie inadvertently broke the news while standing on a jetty to await a speed boat while vacationing in Lake Como.<\/a> The multi-hyphenate Hollywood star offered us a glimpse of her maternity style<\/a> in a black blazer, matching slouchy trousers, a billowing white crop top and a raffia variant of Bottega Veneta\u2019s<\/a> coveted Matthieu Blazy-designed Sardine bag.<\/span><\/p>\n

Details of how far along Robbie is in her pregnancy, the baby\u2019s due date, gender or name are not confirmed. Nevertheless, this joyous news is worthy of pouring yourself a tipple from Robbie and Ackerley\u2019s shared coastal spirits label, Papa Salt, which they both co-founded alongside a few other friends. <\/span><\/p>\n

Robbie and Ackerley\u2019s love story dates back over a decade after meeting on the set of the World War II romantic drama<\/span> Suite Fran\u00e7aise <\/span><\/i>in 2013. Robbie had a minor role off the back of her breakout in Martin Scorsese\u2019s <\/span>The Wolf Of Wall Street<\/span><\/i>, while Ackerley worked as an assistant director. The pair soon moved into their infamous shared flat in Clapham together. <\/span><\/p>\n

Robbie described the actor-turned-producer as \u201cthe best-looking guy in London\u201d at the time. She revealed never-before-heard details of their friends-to-lovers relationship in 2016. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI was the ultimate single gal,\u201d she said<\/a>. \u201cThe idea of relationships made me want to vomit. And then this crept up on me.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe were friends for so long. I was always in love with him, but I thought, \u2018Oh, he would never love me back. Don\u2019t make it weird, Margot. Don\u2019t be stupid and tell him that you like him.\u2019 And then it happened, and I was like, \u2018Of course, we\u2019re together.\u2019\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Robbie and Ackerley wed in a private ceremony in Byron Bay in December of 2016. The low-key ceremony took place in the Northern Rivers Hinterland<\/a>, with the bride seemingly wearing a bohemian style off-the-shoulder wedding dress<\/a> for her nuptials. <\/span><\/p>\n

Robbie and Ackerley continued working together and eventually founded the production company LuckyChap Entertainment. Under that banner, the duo helmed Greta Gerwig\u2019s award-winning <\/span>Barbie,<\/span><\/i><\/a> <\/i>Emerald Fennell\u2019s 2020 Promising Young Woman<\/em><\/a> and 2023 Saltburn<\/em><\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n

While it’s reported the pair are gearing up to produce a film adaptation of the video game the Sims<\/a> and board game Monopoly, it\u2019s clear their impending arrival will be their next work of art. <\/span><\/p>\n
