Sadly, no miracle cure exists yet. However, research offers hope. Diet plays a crucial role here, and one fruit is making waves for its brain-boosting properties: <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/us\/articles\/you-should-truly-start-eating-pomegranate\/\">the pomegranate<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>An Anti-Alzheimer Substance in Pomegranate<\/h2>\n<p>Danish researchers have found that a substance in pomegranates can enhance memory by eliminating damaged mitochondria. These faulty mitochondria contribute to the cognitive decline seen in Alzheimer\u2019s disease. <strong>Vilhelm Bohr<\/strong>, a professor at the University of Copenhagen, explains that many people with neurodegenerative diseases suffer from mitochondrial dysfunction. Their brains struggle to clear weak mitochondria, which leads to impaired cognitive functions.<\/p>\n<p>Tests on mice showed that <strong>urolithin A<\/strong>, a substance in pomegranates, strawberries, and walnuts, can mitigate Alzheimer&#8217;s symptoms. Researchers published their findings in the journal <em>Alzheimer\u2019s Association<\/em>, noting, <em>&#8220;Urolithin A alleviates memory problems and other dementia consequences. Although tested on mice, the outlook is positive.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>They\u2019re still working on the optimal dosage, and urolithin A is also available in pill form. However, one pomegranate a day might not be enough to see benefits.<\/p>\n<h2>Pomegranate: A Superfruit Packed with Antioxidants<\/h2>\n<p>Pomegranate isn\u2019t just <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/us\/articles\/8-foods-to-become-smarter\/\">good for the brain<\/a>; it\u2019s packed with health benefits.
