From the moment they spotted each other on the 77th<\/sup> Festival de Cannes<\/a> red carpet, actors Margaret Qualley and Hunter Schafer couldn\u2019t control their excitement. Laughing, dancing and quite literally beaming together, the Kinds Of Kindness<\/a><\/em> co-stars and best friends were a picture of all the nice things you\u2019d hope a friendship to be.<\/p>\n

Qualley, 29, wore a soft pink tulle gown plucked from Chanel\u2019s Spring\/Summer 2024 haute couture collection. Its delicate beading held in place intricate gathering at its bodice before descending into layers of tulle at its bottom, the latter dramatically catching the wind on the breezy Friday evening along the Cot\u00ea d\u2019Azur.<\/p>\n

Comparatively, Schafer, 25 was the blue to Qualley\u2019s pink in a stunning, strapless gown by Armani Priv\u00e9. Custom made for the Euphoria<\/em> alum\u2019s first time on a Cannes red carpet, the piece\u2014which looks like reflective liquid\u2014is reportedly inspired by the House\u2019s Spring 2011 couture collection.<\/p>\n

The duo joined Kinds Of Kindness<\/em><\/a> co-stars Emma Stone, Joe Alwyn, Jesse Plemons, Willem Dafoe, Hong Chau and Mamoudou Athie. Directed by Yorgos Lanthimos (who directed Poor Things<\/em><\/a>), Kinds Of Kindness<\/em> is a \u201ctriptych fable\u201d about \u201ca man without choice who tries to take control of his own life; a policeman who is alarmed that his wife, who was missing at sea, has returned and seems a different person; and a woman determined to find a specific someone with a special ability who is destined to become a prodigious spiritual leader.\u201d<\/p>\n

Look at how sweet Qualley and Schafer are together. This industry is one of the toughest in the world, so how lovely to be able to navigate moviestar fame with a best friend, and have this much fun while you’re doing it.<\/p>\n
