It\u2019s hard to pinpoint the exact sartorial origins of the naked dress<\/a>. Chalk it up to Cher\u2019s barely-there Bob Mackie dresses<\/a> at both the Met Gala in 1974 and the Oscars in 1988\u2014and its 2022 revival surely comes courtesy of a spate of appearances from Emily Ratajkowski and Kendall Jenner. The latest to add to the long line of diaphanous dressing is Sienna Miller.<\/p>\n

The 42-year-old American-British actress attended the lavish 25th birthday bash of London socialite Lady Lola Crichton-Stuart (aka Lola Bute) at the weekend in a beautifully sheer, floor-length Annie\u2019s Ibiza number. A rival to her viral whipped meringue Schiaparelli two-piece<\/a>, Miller (who gave birth to her second daughter<\/a> just four months ago) opted to wear a nude body suit underneath the delicately embellished gown. Its cobwebbed pattern aptly set against her signature tousled waves.<\/p>\n

Miller joined fellow sheer-dressed it-girl Camille Charri\u00e8re who also wore an Annie\u2019s Ibiza<\/a> creation\u2014a peach number, to be exact. Take a look, the party looks like it\u2019s straight out of a scene from Saltburn<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

But it\u2019s not only Miller\u2019s sartorial exploits that crown her the ultimate it-girl. She welcomed her youngest daughter to the world earlier this year with boyfriend Oli Green<\/a>, 27. For the most part, people were ecstatic for Miller. Elsewhere, it was a different story, and it was Miller\u2019s response to that cohort of people that won over many more hearts.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think people are comfortable with a way of living that has existed for many years which is very misogynistic and patriarchal [when it comes to] me being in a relationship with a younger person,\u201d Miller told Vogue<\/a><\/em>. \u201cOr being pregnant over the age of 40 and that\u2019s [considered] irresponsible\u2026is such double standards. It\u2019s absurd.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was fortunate. I wasn\u2019t necessarily trying to get pregnant. This happened as a total surprise and biologically it was something my body was able to do. And I find that judgement so one-sided and it\u2019s so sad.\u201d<\/p>\n

As we hit publish on this story, sources are claiming that British model Alexa Chung is engaged to Miller\u2019s ex-fianc\u00e9 and father of her 11-year-old daughter, Marlowe, Tom Sturridge. The foursome are said to have a wonderful relationship with each other.<\/p>\n

\u201cAlexa has confirmed to her friends that she is indeed engaged to Tom and she is over the moon,\u201d a source tells The Sun<\/a><\/em>. \u201cShe is in a great place and seems completely head over heels for him. They\u2019re a great match. They have been hard at work planning a wedding with all of their close pals there. It won\u2019t be a massive over the top affair, but a smaller, classier and cooler bash.\u201d<\/p>\n
