Taylor Swift might have labelled one of her ex-boyfriends<\/a> as \u201cthe smallest man who ever lived\u201d in her recently released eleventh studio album, <\/span>The Tortured Poets Department<\/span><\/i><\/a>, but British actor Joe Alwyn is making it clear that he doesn\u2019t fit that epithet. <\/span><\/p>\n

A week after the secret double album was made public, sources from Alwyn\u2019s camp have come forward to share an update. Specifically, how he is doing in the 365 days since their six-year relationship came to an abrupt end. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s dating and happy,\u201d an insider with intel revealed<\/a>. They added that Alwyn has \u201cmoved on\u201d from the songstress and \u201ccertainly doesn\u2019t talk poorly about her,\u201d noting that he is \u201cfocused on work\u201d. The anonymous person in the known shared that Alwyn was in love with Swift but their relationship \u201cjust didn\u2019t work out.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

It is inferred that this is partially due to his strained relationship with fame: \u201cJoe loves acting, but can\u2019t stand the attention that comes with it. He\u2019s not comfortable in the spotlight.\u201d At the time of their split in April 2023, a source confirmed that their romance fractured partly due to \u201cdifferences in their personalities\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

Despite Alwyn wanting to keep his personal life private, several statements about the former couple have been released since the record dropped. One source<\/a> came forward to claim that Alwyn and Swift are no longer \u201cin touch\u201d, but try to \u201cbe respectful of one another.” <\/span><\/p>\n

The emotionally charged fifth track, \u201cSo Long, London\u201d seemingly presents Swift\u2019s perspective of the breakup, specifically the lyric, \u201cI’m pissed off you let me give you all that youth for free\u201d. <\/span><\/p>\n

Both Alwyn and Swift will be in France in May, though on different sides of the country.
