The characteristics of the ideal partner: endowed with a sense of humor and, …preferably Italian.Babbel<\/em> conducted an international study that allows identifying the most sought-after characteristics in a partner.<\/p>\n

53% of respondents stated, for example, that they find it sexy to date someone whose mother tongue is different from their own,<\/strong> and the percentage rises to 61%<\/strong> for Italian respondents.<\/p>\n

\n

Italians themselves claim the top spot<\/strong> as the most coveted partners internationally, followed by Spain and France,<\/strong> respectively, in second and third place.<\/p>\n

What Characteristics Does the Ideal Partner Have?<\/h2>\n

Internationally, 71%<\/strong> of people consider the ability to speak one or more foreign languages<\/strong> as an attractive characteristic in a romantic partner, ranking it above a healthy and sporty lifestyle (67%), travel experiences (66%), culture (63%), and career ambition (61%).<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the top positions, we find instead a sense of humor (80%), intellect and cultural taste (73%), and beauty, physique, and style (72%).<\/strong><\/p>\n

Italian is the Sexiest Language in the World<\/h2>\n

Once again, according to research commissioned by Babbel – the language learning platform that offers lessons on apps and live – Italian is considered the most attractive language, with 89% of preferences for the combination of “romantic”<\/em>, “sexy”<\/em>, and “passionate”.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

For the first time, Italian thus knocks French off the podium, generally considered the “language of love”<\/em>: although it maintains the primacy of the most romantic language (34% of preferences against Italian’s 33%), the language of the Belpaese<\/em> wins precisely for the combination of the three categories, with French stopping at 79%.<\/p>\n

\n

Particularly interesting is the fact that even the French choose Italian as the most attractive language<\/strong> (85% of preferences among sexy, romantic, and passionate) to the detriment of their mother tongue (61% of preferences).<\/p>\n

\n

However, true lovers of Italian as the language of love turned out to be Spain and the United States (each with 96%),<\/strong> and especially the United Kingdom (the percentage reaches a staggering 98%).<\/strong><\/p>\n
