Cast your mind back to 2018. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, the couple newlywed and the former a few months pregnant with their first child, had commenced a royal tour of Australia. From the sparkling gem of Sydney to quaint rural towns, the Duchess of Sussex wore a rotation of exclusively local labels<\/a>: Oroton, Scanlan Theodore, Zimmermann, Dion Lee and Outland Denim, to name a few. <\/span><\/p>\n

The response was immediate. A CAMILLA + MARC<\/a> blazer worn by the royal flew off the shelves within days, leading to the desire to own a piece of royal-approved Australian fashion to be dubbed the \u2018Meghan Effect\u2019. Now, a burgeoning label already adored by \u2018It\u2019 girls joins this roster, with the former actress endorsing an \u2018IYKYK\u2019 Byron Bay-based label during a dinner in Palm Beach. (The Floridian variety, not the picturesque suburb on Sydney\u2019s Northern Beaches.) <\/span><\/p>\n

Indeed, Markle has worn a backless halterneck dress from the decisively minimal brand<\/a>, St. Agni to a charity dinner following a visit to the polo.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

The luxuriate\u2019s sumptuous shapes have already earned the adoration of supermodels like Kendall Jenner<\/a> and Gigi Hadid<\/a> but with the relaxed form and deliciously tonal textures reaching the gilded gates of Megahn from Montecito, it\u2019s apparent gatekeeping the brand is no longer a viable option. (St. Agni\u2019s boutiques along Australia\u2019s east coast from Brisbane to Melbourne have already helped that, too.) <\/span><\/p>\n

The piece in question is a midi silhouette, featuring an open back, side split, side zip closure and asymmetrical neckline crafted from a responsibly sourced wool blend. Both flirty and functional for a former Princess attending a public event, Markle\u2019s Hudson Mini Dress is guaranteed to be St. Agni\u2019s latest coveted piece destined to become a mainstay in wardrobes around the country. (Like Jenner\u2019s Carrie Bradshaw-inspired knit mini dress<\/a>). <\/span><\/p>\n

So far, the piece is sold out in numerous sizes, but with Markle\u2019s advocacy, we can assume the brand is planning another run of the cut as we speak. <\/span><\/p>\n

I<\/span>n the meantime, it\u2019s understood that we can see Markle sport similar designs from here on out. According to a report<\/a>, Markle has tapped celebrity stylist, Jamie Mizrahi, to \u201crevamp her look\u201d on the precipice of her rumoured return to Hollywood. And with the Sussexes announcing two new streaming series\u2014one with polo firmly in the centre of it\u2013what better way to get off on the right boot than by reaching for a brand from our home soil?<\/span><\/p>\n
