Rumours have long followed Hunter Schafer and musician Rosal\u00eda<\/a>‘s relationship status. As the pair appeared to be enjoying a strictly platonic dynamic, they deftly evaded queries. But as Schafer has now revealed, the two actually were a thing for five months back in 2019.<\/p>\n

Opening up about her love life in a new interview with GQ<\/em><\/a>, the The Hunger Games<\/em><\/a> star explained she had spoken to the Spanish singer and received the greenlight to share the truth.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been so much speculation for so long,\u201d Schafer said, admitting that the former couple have previously been keen to protect their privacy. \u201cPart of us just wants to get it over with, and then another part is like, \u2018It\u2019s none of anybody\u2019s fu**ing business!\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s something I\u2019m happy to share. And I think she feels that way too.\u201d<\/p>\n

As the interview notes, it apparently took a while for Schafer, 25, to determine that her ‘hangs’ with Rosal\u00eda, 31, were actually dating. No reason was provided as to why the romance fizzled out, but the duo remain good friends.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have really beautiful friendships with people that I was once romantically involved with,\u201d Schafer told the outlet, adding that her former flame would be \u201cfamily no matter what.\u201d<\/p>\n

The actress also confirmed that she is currently single and is not looking to change that anytime soon.<\/p>\n

Schafer most recently dated her Euphoria<\/em><\/a> co-star Dominic Fike<\/a>, while Rosal\u00eda<\/a> has been romantically linked with The Bear<\/em><\/a> star Jeremy Allen White<\/a>.<\/p>\n
