Prince William has reportedly responded to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle\u2019s offer of sympathy following Kate Middleton\u2019s cancer diagnosis<\/a>. Following calls for concern about her welfare, the Princess of Wales revealed the extent of her condition, which she is currently undergoing preventative chemotherapy to treat. In a candid video<\/a> message, Middleton, 42, updated the world on her whereabouts and requested the public allow her \u201cspice, time and privacy\u201d to manage her condition.<\/p>\n

Prince Harry and Markle were amongst the first to break their silence following the revelation, sharing a message of support that read: \u201cWe wish health and healing for Kate and the family, and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace.\u201d Now, sources reportedly close to the prince and Princess have divulged that Prince William responded to the message, but not in a “warm, informal” tone.<\/p>\n

“Harry and Meghan have been in contact with William, but their private message was simply one of sympathy and didn\u2019t include any suggestion the brothers should make up and let bygones be bygones or that Harry should fly back to the UK soon,\u201d a royal expert told British tabloids.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cWilliam, who is still hurt by everything Harry has said in the past, has responded, but the response is very much engineered by the palace and it\u2019s hardly the kind of warm, informal response you would expect from one brother to another,\u201d the insider noted. \u201cIt’s more like the sort of communication you would get between two slightly wary diplomats.”<\/p>\n

As per the New York Post<\/em>,<\/a> Prince Harry and Markle were not provided with the news of Middleton\u2019s diagnosis before it went public.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey had no idea, and only learned of the news around the same time the rest of the world found out,\u201d another source claimed.<\/p>\n

Prince Harry briefly returned to London for a mere 30 minutes<\/a> to meet with his father, King Charles III, after he went public with his cancer battle<\/a>. It\u2019s not understood if the two Princes have made any plans to reconnect.<\/p>\n

Prince William and Princess Catherine will skip attending this year\u2019s Royal Easter ceremony<\/a> in favour of some private time as a family by the British seaside.
