If you’re still reeling from the incredible chaos that was Yorgos Lanthimos’ Poor Things<\/em><\/a>, we have some great news. Fresh off the back of four Oscar wins<\/a>, the team behind the dramedy will be back on our screens very soon with the upcoming release of Kinds of Kindness<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Directed by Lanthimos and starring Emma Stone<\/a>, who also worked together on The Favourite<\/em>, the latest film promises a world of action-packed and thought-provoking stories, all surely tied up neatly with some stellar costumery.<\/p>\n

Filmed in 2022 over just two months, early reports note that Kinds of Kindness<\/em> will have an anthology structure following a slew of characters on their respective journeys. Below is everything we know about the upcoming film.<\/p>\n

Who will star in Kinds of Kindness<\/em>?<\/h2>\n

Just like Lanthimos’ other productions, the film boasts an A-list cast. Stars of Poor Things<\/em>; Emma Stone<\/a>, Willem Dafoe and Margaret Qualley<\/a> will reunite for Kinds of Kindness<\/em>, along with Jesse Plemons<\/a>, Hong Chau, Joe Alwyn<\/a>, Mamoudou Athie, and Hunter Schafer<\/a>.<\/p>\n

What is the plot of Kinds of Kindness<\/em>?<\/h2>\n

According to the official release, Kinds of Kindness<\/em> is a “triptych fable” about “a man without choice who tries to take control of his own life; a policeman who is alarmed that his wife, who was missing at sea, has returned and seems a different person; and a woman determined to find a specific someone with a special ability who is destined to become a prodigious spiritual leader.”<\/p>\n

The film has been adapted from a screenplay Lanthimos co-wrote with Efthimis Filippou, but its official trailer doesn’t give too much away. Flashing scenes reveal a lifeless body being dragged down a hallway, Stone whizzing through open roads in a purple sports car, Plemons copping a slap to the face from Qualley, Chau licking a body, Alwyn getting injured, two unidentified people making out, and Schafer performing some kind of ritual.<\/p>\n

When does Kinds of Kindness<\/em> come out?<\/h2>\n

Having been held back since completed, the film is set for a June 21, 2024 release date in the U.S. More details regarding when the rest of the world can expect to see it are still to come.<\/p>\n
