In a matter of days, the 2024 awards season will draw to a close with the zenith of film excellence\u2014the 96th annual Academy Awards. Typically, this is the time when celebrity stylists are furiously steaming dresses and the celebrities themselves are busy rehearsing their acceptance speeches. (If not preoccupied with last-minute facials, lymphatic drainage massages and silver screen-ready golden tanning sessions).<\/p>\n

But for the celebrities whose attendance at the ceremony is not due to a nomination, the stakes are a little less consequential, meaning more risks are demanded from them on the red carpet. Proving this to be true is none other than Zendaya. (For those not across the Oscars schedule, Zendaya will be presenting an award at the ceremony on Monday.)<\/p>\n

Fresh off the heels of a magnum opus press tour for Dune 2,<\/em><\/a> where she delivered her fashion de force in the form of Mugler\u2019s fembot Gynoid suit from 1996<\/a>, the actress generously offered a taste of her awards ceremony wardrobe. Overnight Zendaya attended the Green Carpet Fashion Awards in West Hollywood, paying homage to the sustainable dress code of the service in the most eco-conscious sartorial choice\u2014vintage<\/a>. Robert Cavalli<\/a> from Spring 2011, to be exact.<\/p>\n

Perhaps foreshadowing her future awards sweep when it comes time for her performance as Chani to be recognised, Zendaya donned a plunging halterneck gown with fringed accents and contrasting alligator panels. Zendaya and her style architect, Law Roach, have an inclination for sensing what style moment the zeitgeist needs at that exact moment.<\/p>\n

Naturally, the pair are discernibly<\/span> on the money by offering a boho-chic<\/a> redux. Leaning into the early aughts fantasy, Zendaya lined her arms with serpentine arm cuffs and bracelets from Bulgari<\/a>. Her long brunette tresses were kept natural with voluminous waves and styled half-up, half-down.<\/p>\n

If this is a precursor to the Oscars, we can only imagine what feast Zendaya and Roach have in store for us!<\/p>\n
