Before Margot Robbie, her stylist Andrew Mukamal, and the Barbie<\/em> movie press tour<\/a>, we’d have told you that no one could pull off this much consecutive pink with style. At the 2024 BAFTA Awards in London tonight, we stand humbly corrected, and as the actress has proved once again, Barbiecore<\/a> is far from just a trend.<\/p>\n

In an uber-glamorous pink and black look, Robbie, who is nominated for best leading actress in a movie, stunned in custom Armani Priv\u00e9<\/a>. Wearing a black velvet gown featuring a strapless sweetheart neckline with black sequins at the bust and trimmed pink silk panelling along the front, the 33-year-old looked straight out of an ‘Evening Barbie’ box.<\/p>\n

As she’s wont to do, Robbie kept her glam relatively paired back, opting for a loose chignon and natural makeup that emphasised the blush tones of her dress.<\/p>\n

As revealed by her stylist last month, the actress’ groundbreaking press tour looks featuring historically accurate iterations of the iconic dolls’ looks will be turned into a book<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Explaining the project, Mukamal also revealed a sneak peek at the cover.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis book was an idea I had in my living room when I started dreaming about Margot\u2019s wardrobe for the \u2018Barbie\u2019 press tour in March 2023,\u201d Mukamal wrote in an Instagram post. \u201cI could have never imagined just a few months later, we\u2019d be in the studio shooting this project with the team of our dreams\u2026 This book is a labour of love, dedicated to all the Barbie lovers and fashion fans around the world.\u201d<\/p>\n

The caption accompanied a reveal of the book cover, which featured a glammed-up Robbie posed as a doll in a pink Chanel skirt suit, surrounded by accessories.<\/p>\n
