Forbes<\/em> hasreleased their annual list<\/a> of the highest-paid celebrities from the past year and surprise, surprise \u2013 Kylie Jenner<\/a> has been crowned number one. It’s a no-brainer really, given the young mogul sold a majority stake<\/a> in her Kylie Cosmetics<\/a> brand to beauty giant Coty for $600 million. Forbes<\/em> financial experts \u2013 who accused Jenner of falsely inflating her wealth to claim the publication’s ‘youngest self-made billionaire’ title back in May \u2013 estimated that she pocketed $590 million in 2020.<\/p>\n

While Jenner earned the most by a mile, her closest contender for the crown was none other than brother-in-law Kanye West<\/a>, who was second on the list. It was an eventful year for the former presidential hopeful, but Forbes<\/em> reports that the rapper still managed to take home $170 million in 2020, with the bulk of his paycheck coming courtesy of his Yeezy<\/a> partnership with Adidas<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Of the 100 names mentioned, there are a few unexpected entrants \u2013 like who knew The Chainsmokers<\/a> outearned Taylor Swift<\/a> this year, with the music duo coming in at #21 on the list, pulling in a combined $68 million over the folklore<\/em> singer’s $63.5 million.<\/p>\n

Fellow popstar Ariana Grande<\/a> came in at #17, with $72 million while 18-year-old Billie Eilish<\/a> was the youngest member on the list, clocking in at #43 with $53 million. Controversy<\/a> did little to quell the income of embattled celebrities Ellen Degeneres<\/a> and J.K. Rowling<\/a>, who brought in $84 million and $60 million respectively.<\/p>\n
