Forget Julius Caesar, my Roman Empire is the specific genre of nepotism babies who, despite their wealth, privilege and advantageous genetics, prove that DNA can only go so far. I didn\u2019t think I\u2019d be adding 22-year-old Kaia Gerber to that mix but after a surprising admission from the burgeoning supermodel<\/a>, I\u2019ve landed myself in some mental refiling. <\/span><\/p>\n

The model-cum-actress daughter of legendary fashion force, Cindy Crawford<\/a>, and businessman, Rande Gerber, proved she was born to follow in her mother\u2019s footsteps when making her runway debut at only 16. <\/span><\/p>\n

Courting fashion week circuits in book-laden<\/a> street-style snaps<\/a> and memorable runway moments, watching Gerber\u2019s nascent rise to fashion\u2019s upper echelon has almost felt like fulfilling a birthright. But as it turns out, Gerber<\/a> didn\u2019t get there on pedigree alone. <\/span><\/p>\n

Despite possessing the supermodel gene<\/a>, the <\/span>Bottoms <\/span><\/i>actress revealed she took lessons to ensure she could walk in heels. \u201cI actually took lessons and that is a true story,\u201d she said on Peacock\u2019s satirical <\/span>In The Know <\/span><\/i>program. She didn\u2019t reveal her teacher, but with family friends like Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington and Linda Evangelista<\/a>, who needs a private tutor? <\/span><\/p>\n

Pupil Gerber also shared the key lesson from her tutelage: \u201cDon\u2019t sway your hips\u201d. Clearly whoever parted with that wisdom didn\u2019t watch Versace\u2019s iconic Fall\/Winter 1991 \u201cFreedom!\u201d closing. The fictional claymation talk show host, Lauren Caspian, noted that he would’ve found that advice difficult because of his “naturally sassy pelvis”. Gerber’s response? “So do I… and it proved to be an issue.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Fellow nepotism baby, Amelia Gray Hamlin<\/a>, seemed perplexed by this doctrine. \u201cWait all I do is sway my hips what is going on,\u201d she commented on Gerber\u2019s Instagram post<\/a> promoting her appearance on the show.\u00a0 Is this the start of #hipswaygate?
