Britney Spears isn\u2019t done collecting her well-due reparations after decades of vitriolic treatment at the hands of Hollywood. In her best-selling memoir<\/a>, The Woman In Me<\/em>\u2014a book that sold a million copies in the first week alone\u2014Spears shed new light on highly-scrutinised elements of her life.<\/p>\n

This included details about her abusive 13-year-long conservatorship, the events that led up to shaving her head in 2007<\/a> and never-before-heard accounts about her relationship with Justin Timberlake<\/a>. Amongst the revelations regarding the childhood stars turned pop supernovas’ four-year relationship, Spears divulged how hurt she was after being made the villain in their break-up story.<\/p>\n

For the uninitiated, Timberlake claimed Spears\u2019 infidelity caused their split<\/a>, which the singer not only vehemently denied in the memoir, but also claimed the 42-year-old did “as ammunition for his record”. Following the demise of their relationship in 2002<\/a>, Timberlake released the chart-topping single \u201cCry Me A River\u201d, which perpetuated the narrative that Spears cheated on him.<\/p>\n

“In the news media, I was described as a harlot who’d broken the heart of America’s golden boy,” Spears again addressed in her memoir. “The truth: I was comatose in Louisiana, and he was happily running around Hollywood.”<\/p>\n

Despite Timberlake never addressing Spears\u2019 allegations publicly, it\u2019s clear the Trolls actor is familiar with the content\u2014or at least the backlash to his reported behaviour\u2014as the singer took to the stage at his Las Vegas concert to comment. While introducing \u201cCry Me A River\u201d, Timerblake casually said \u201cNo disrespect\u201d, seemingly addressing Spears.<\/p>\n

The mother of two immediately hit back on Instagram with a now-deleted post. As obtained by People<\/em><\/a>, the caption of her post discussed a 2001 charity basketball game when Spears and Timberlake famously wore matching jerseys emblazoned with their respective couple nicknames.<\/p>\n

Spears wrote: \u201cPsss I never mentioned how I beat him in basketball \ud83c\udfc0 and he would cry \u2026 no disrespect \ud83e\udd37\ud83c\udffc\u200d\u2640\ufe0f\ud83e\udd37\ud83c\udffc\u200d\u2640\ufe0f\ud83e\udd37\ud83c\udffc\u200d\u2640\ufe0f !!!” Maria River Red, Spears\u2019 Instagram online alias, you\u2019ve done it again.<\/p>\n
