One of the main draws of the hit comedy\/mystery Only Murders In The Building<\/em><\/a>, besides its gripping ‘whodunnit’ plot, is the revolving door of great outfits donned by Selena Gomez’s character, Mabel Mora.<\/p>\n

Curated by costume designer Dana Covarrubias, her campy looks are mostly recognisable for the signature statement outerwear<\/a> she seems to have in endless supply. Whether it’s a burgundy leather trench coat or a fluffy teddy coat with plenty of volume, Mabel’s knack for layering is just as good as her mystery-solving skills.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, Gomez is more known for her low-key luxe taste, where she frequently pairs a snug knit and casual trousers with high-end accessories. But it’s only natural to borrow from her alter ego’s wardrobe. And with her latest outing, it seems the actress is taking a leaf out of the character’s autumnal aesthetic.<\/p>\n

Spotted in the Tribeca neighbourhood to promote Rare Beauty<\/a>‘s new body care range<\/a>, the 31-year-old wore an elegant herringbone two-piece set of a cropped button-up jacket and coordinating mini skirt belted at the waist.<\/p>\n

She kept warm with a semi-sheer black turtleneck and tights and completed the preppy look with heeled patent Mary Jane pumps. Braving the New York City winter, she also layered an oversized black wool coat over the look.<\/p>\n

The beauty look complemented the ensemble with a simple half-updo, showing off her new honey blonde highlights<\/a> and silver and diamond earrings, soft smokey eyes, peachy lips, and matching red
