When you work with Miuccia Prada, especially under the youthful lens she applies to her work at Miu Miu<\/a>, you can count on two sartorial staples. Namely, an explosion of embellishments<\/a> and a boyish element<\/a> to bring contrast and dimension to an otherwise ultra-feminine silhouette.<\/a><\/p>\n

Certified Miu Miu-ite<\/a>, Sydney Sweeney, knows this modus operandi well. So, it was no surprise that the actress arrived on the beige carpet for the New York premiere of Anyone But You<\/em><\/a> in Mrs. Prada\u2019s signature.<\/p>\n

To promote her upcoming romantic comedy\u2014which is slated to bring R-rated sensuality back to cinema\u2014the 26-year-old dazzled in a transparent slip dress<\/a> adorned with hundreds of appliqu\u00e9d crystals. The nouveau<\/em> slip featured sweet spaghetti straps, a flirty neckline, a cinching leather belt<\/a> and ice-like crystal pendants that brought a touch of festive frost.<\/p>\n

A fitting move considering the timing. The Miu Miu dress also combined two of the year\u2019s biggest trends\u2014naked dressing and high-octane sequins\u2014making one of the concluding red carpets of 2023 a cumulation of the fashion that was.<\/p>\n

Sweeney\u2019s dress wasn\u2019t the only highlight of the evening. While speaking to the press, Sweeney\u2019s co-star, Glen Powell<\/a>, revealed making the film wasn\u2019t always smooth sailing. (Despite the majority taking place in and around Sydney Harbour<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Powell explained<\/a> that he \u201calmost died\u201d during shooting when filming a nude scene on a cliff edge. \u200b\u200b\u201cTaking your clothes off on the side of a cliff in a hurry is not safe either,\u201d Powell explained. \u201cNobody talks about that safety issue on set, where I almost died falling off a cliff taking my pants off too fast,\u201d he continued before adding, \u201cbut it\u2019s a really fun scene, so it was all worth it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sweeney was also the victim of a spider bite while filming said scene. But it appears the production helped to build a rapport between the two leads, with Sweeney adding, \u201cI\u2019m very acquainted with Glen now.\u201d<\/p>\n
