Anne Hathaway<\/a> channelled a coming-of-age version of her The Devil Wears Prada<\/em><\/a> character Andy Sachs<\/a> on November 27. Exiting a car in a crisp white, textured blazer and skirt combo, Hathaway, 41, stopped traffic as she ran across the road in Midtown, Manhattan.<\/p>\n

The actress is on the promotional trail for her latest project, American psychological thriller Eileen<\/em><\/a>. Appearing on the Live With<\/em> Kelly and Mark<\/em><\/a> Hathaway was asked if she had a \u201cnever again\u201d date with her husband Adam Shulman.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re good, we\u2019ve got a good thing\u2026 but sometimes date nights just feel like sitting,\u201d joked the actress. \u201cWhen you have two young kids, just sitting and looking at each other and knowing that you don\u2019t have to say anything, it\u2019s good.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe had a never again. It was our ninth wedding anniversary and Adam booked us a couple of night at a spa hotel\u2014it was beautiful but kind of like a crunchy place\u2014and there was a flyer for a sauerkraut workshop,\u201d she continued. I was like, \u2018Honey, a sauerkraut workshop! It\u2019s going to be good for us. We\u2019ll learn. It\u2019s probiotic. It\u2019s going to be setting out lives up for the future\u2019 and he was like, \u2018Yeah, no!\u2019<\/p>\n

Shulman \u201cpassed and took a nap\u201d while his wife took herself off to the class. As Hathaway tells it, the class didn\u2019t involve much beyond receiving a jar of salted cabbage that smelt awful. Little did Hathaway know, the cabbage must sit in the jar for four weeks to become sauerkraut.<\/p>\n

When she took the jar back to the hotel room, Shulman asked what the smell was.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s the smell of our lives for the next four weeks,\u201d Hathaway told him, laughing as she retold the story.<\/p>\n

The Oscar winner and her actor and producer husband married 11 years ago. They have two sons, \u00a0Jonathan, 7, and Jack, 4.<\/p>\n
