As a senior fashion features writer for one of the glossiest magazines, I can say with authority that the editorial team under Miranda Priestly at \u2018Runway\u2019 would love the current fashion zeitgeist<\/a>. The stealth wealth! The micro shorts! The body consciousness of it all!<\/p>\n

Yet, none more so than our favourite resident EIC personal assistant, Andy Sachs. As per Anne Hathaway\u2019s latest ensemble<\/a>, it appears that she shares that sentiment.<\/p>\n

During a recent outing in New York, the real-life ‘Andrea’ stepped out to promote her upcoming film Eileen<\/em> wearing one of the biggest trends of the season<\/a>, and a little nod to The Devil Wears Prada<\/em><\/a>, too.<\/p>\n

Though her character in the thrilling Ottessa Moshfegh adaption is a depraved yet glamorous prison psychiatrist living in the 60s, Hathaway has thrown it back to 2006 by stepping out in a pantless look<\/a> paired with major boots.<\/p>\n

Us: \u201cAre you wearing the\u2014\u201d Hathaway: \u201cThe Proenza Schouler<\/a> boots? Yeah I am\u201d.<\/p>\n

Similar to the 2005 Resort Chanel boots Hathaway wore in the film, the actress opted for a thigh-grazing length paired with Y2K slouch.<\/p>\n

The fact that the pair are from Proenza Schouler makes the sartorial Easter egg that much more juicy. For the uninitiated, Proenza Schouler\u2019s Lazaro Hernandez first piqued the interest of Anna Wintour (whom Meryl Streep\u2019s character was modelled on) after approaching her on a plane.<\/p>\n

What better way for Andy to curry Miranda\u2019s favour than embracing the designs of one of her self-appointed prot\u00e9g\u00e9s?<\/p>\n

As for the top half of the look, Hathaway looked to an oversized crimson red oxford shirt from Valentino. The addition of the oversized rosette on the colour could be interpreted as a homage to another one of Manhattan\u2019s fictional fashion greats, Carrie Bradshaw, but we\u2019d prefer to imagine this is what Andy would wear after devilishly staying the night at Christian Thompson\u2019s house.<\/p>\n

Though Hathaway is currently promoting another film, we can\u2019t help but wonder if maybe she\u2019s also secretly pitching for a sequel to the magnum opus. If we were Hathaway, we\u2019d \u201ccontact Leslie to maximise the press.\u201d<\/p>\n
