Megan Fox is opening up about a tragic experience she suffered in her new book. With the release of Pretty Boys are Poisonous<\/em><\/a>, a collection of poems that explores some of her toxic relationships, the actress addressed a particular poem that alluded to baby loss.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Good Morning America<\/em> <\/a>about it, Fox confirmed that it was inspired by the baby loss she went through with her fianc\u00e9, Machine Gun Kelly<\/a> (real name Colson Baker).<\/p>\n

“I\u2019d never been through anything like that in my life,” she said. “I have three kids, so it was very difficult for both of us, and it sent us on a very wild journey together and separately.”<\/p>\n

In the book, Fox writes about an ultrasound of a baby girl at ten weeks old.<\/p>\n

“I want to hold your hand \/ hear your laugh,\u201d it reads, along with \u201cbut now \/ I have to say \/ goodbye.\u201d<\/p>\n

She describes holding the baby “as they rip you from my insides,” as well as her despair.<\/p>\n

\u201cI will pay any price,\u201d she writes. \u201cTell me please \/ what is the ransom \/ for her soul?\u201d<\/p>\n

Last May, Machine Gun Kelly dedicated his Billboard Music Awards<\/a> performance to Fox and sparked conversations when he added that it was also for their “unborn child.” Though some interpreted the news as a pregnancy reveal<\/a>, the couple clarified that that wasn’t true.<\/p>\n

Baker is father to a daughter, Cassie, 24, from his relationship with Emma Cannon. Fox is a mother to three sons: Noah Shannon Green, 10, Bodhi Ransom Green, 9, and Journey River Green, 6, from her marriage to actor Brian Austin Green<\/a>. The couple were together for ten years before splitting in 2020.<\/p>\n

Her book was released on November 7th, 2023, and according to her blurb, offers a sense of “freedom” from her past, and, hopefully, inspires others to “take back their happiness and their identity.”<\/p>\n
